St Mawgan in Pydar mother and daughter lit on the idea of festooning their adjoining houses with a spectacular array of Christmas lights in aid of charity. Jackie Parkyn and mother Val have raised hundreds of pounds for Children's Hospice South West over the last six years as they have added more novelty decorations each Christmas.
