St Mawgan Charity Pram Push 2006
Elvis, the Cambridge University rowing team, Alf Garnett and some giant ice creams all took to the roads around St Mawgan near Newquay for the annual pram push. The evnt involves residents dressing up and pushing a variety of novelty 'prams' around a route taking in a number of hostelries including The Airways, The Travellers, The Riv, The Merrymoor Inn and finishing back at The Flacon in St Mawgan village. Andy Marshall, landlord of the Falcon Inn said It was a fantastic event" It raised around £3,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance. The event was organised by Stanley Prowse and special thanks were given to M.J. Plant Welding who bought one of the prams at the end of the event and donated it to Mawgan Porth cabaret.
