Chrysanthemum cheque

One of the towns longest running institutions has recieved the support of Restormal Borough Council. The Chrysanthemum Society have held a show in Newquay since 1867 and the importance of this institution was recognised by the council whose deputy leader, Harry Heywood presented them with a cheque for £250.
