Michaelstow, views from Helsbury Castle across North Cornwall, Christmas Day morning, Saturday 25th December 2010.

View of snow covered Roughtor and Brown Willy, Bodmin Moor, from Helsbury Castle near Michaelstow on the morning of Christmas Day. The centre of the Iron Age hillfort is said to be the remains of St Syth“s chapel, here seen in the foreground now fully exposed since the ground covering of gorse has been removed. There is a magnificent 360 degree view from this vantage point, from the Tors on Bodmin Moor, the towns and villages of St Breward, Wadebridge, St Teath, Delabole and it“s slate quarry, to the distant coastline.
