Agnes Burgess celebrated her 99th birthday in early February 2007. She was born in Respryn in 1908 and moved to Newquay when she was 16. She married Henry Roberts, a shoemaker, and they lived in Porth. They had 3 children, two daughters and a son. Agnes now lives at Hollybush Residential Home in Newquay.
