Choral Society's Cornish Twist

Newquay Choral Society held a Christmas performance with a Cornish twist. Over 55 singers sang a special selection of Cornish carols gathered from villages throughout North Cornwall. Musical director Judith Mumby said "we have found a fine selection. Some of these songs date back to the 1800s". Over 100 people attended St Michael's Church to hear the performance which included Cornish piper Merv Davey PYBA.

Brownies and Rainbows from the Newquay area enjoyed festive farmyard fun at Dairyland. District Commissioner Paula Payne said 'thie was an excellent opportunity for the children to mix'. 120 in total attended.
