Two Newquay Businessmen are setting off for Banjul, Africa as part of the annual Plymouth to Banjul Challenge 2007. The team - The Cornish Pixies, is Ray Smith and Sid Gilroy-Simpson. Some of money they raise will be going to support Cancer Research, CLIC Sargent and the British Heart Foundation.

Marathon runner Chris Case who is collecting money for the British Heart Foundation by running the 2007 London Marathon. Chris, who is 30, was born and brought up in Newquay and currently works at Porth Beach Tourist Park.
