A shiver of Cornish Sharks endured the cold trip up the M5 to Bristol to participate in the Great Britain American Football national selection trials. All the Sharks excelled in their disciplines and impressed the national coaches. Even though the weather closed in as the day progressed 'till finally the AstroTurf had to give way to the snow and proceedings needed to continue under cover, the Sharks continued to shine. Team coach Brian Smallworth was very impressed and proud of his Division 2 players mixing it with the best of Premier players and giving an excellent account of themselves. It will be a couple of weeks before the team hear if any of the players are selected for the national squad, but as always, this display yet again proves that the Cornish Sharks hard work continues to produce top class athletes that can perform at the highest level....
