Terminally ill Sonja Ashton of Newquay has organised a fundraising evening at the Griffin Inn in Newquay on 10th June.
St Columb Major got the royal treatment on Tuesday 29th May 2007 when HRH Princess Anne offically opened Penmellyn Veterinary surgery.

The first Cornwall Hospice care shop in St Columb Major will be opening its doors next month at 57 Fore Street. Verity Barker of the hospice said: 'We are looking for volunteers to join an enthusiastic team retailing clothing, bric-c-brac, books and children's goods.
