Members of the Newquay Visually Impaired Group (VIP) were delighted to receive a cheque for £250 from Restormel Borough Council's Social Fund. The money will be used to fund the club's activities and was handed over by Councillor Harry Heywood at Trenance Boating Lake Cafe.

Postal Workers at Newquay sorting office have shown their support for the first national postal strike in more than a decade (July 2007).
