Harry and Mavis Everett celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with family and friends at The Hotel Bristol, Newquay on 30 June 2007. Around 40 guests attended including the couple's two children and three grandchildren.

A unique performance by Newquay Rowing Club's Singers was enjoyed by an appreciative audience on Friday 6 July 2007. Some 20 singers put on a very special performance on the suspension bridge leading to the Island at Towan Beach. The concert was in aid of funds for Children's Hospice South West.
