(left) David and Barbara Wright with Frank and Val Wilkinson - winners of the Newquay Indoor Bowling Club Two Wood Mixed Fours Competition.A field of 64 bowlers competed for the team first prize of £160 in Newquay Indoor Bowling Club's Two Wood Mixed Fours competition on Sunday which attracted competitors from across Cornwall and Plymouth.After a full day's competition played on a two group league basis it was the local team of Frank and Val Wilkinson with David and Barbara Wright who walked away with first place. Organiser of the day, Gerald Hammett said "It all went extremely well. The standard of bowls was very good and it was excellent that we had players attend from as far west as Penzance and north and east to Stratton and Plymouth."
