After many weeks of rain, together with a number of storms passing over the South West, Bodmin Moor is water logged with rainwater now just running off the surface, flooding into many of the streams and rivers which are bursting their banks....

St Breward, Blisland, Temple, Helland WW1 Memorial

St Breward, Blisland, Temple and Helland War Memorial WW1 inscriptions featured in a montage depicting the 27 names of those who gave their lives during WW1 1914-1918, together with an image of the thought provoking art installation "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red" at the Tower of London, marking one hundred years since the first full day of Britain's involvement in the First World War. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies will fill the Tower's famous moat. Each poppy represents a British military fatality during the war.......

Tintagel, Prince of Wales Engine House at the Trewarmett Quarry in the Trebarwith Valley. The Duchy of Cornwall attempted to sell by auction the building, built in 1871, together with 45 acres of quarry land but withdrew the property from the market after objections from the local community which had originally funded the restoration of the building in 1972. The land is currently used by hikers and dog-walkers and has a car park for visitors....
