The Hair Shop in Henver Road Newquay celebrated its tenth anniversary with a birthday for staff, customers and friends on Saturday 11th August 2007.
Newquay Town Council youth initiative involving schools from Newquay who presented enterprise ideas to members of the council. Schools involved included Tretherras, Treviglas, Newquay junior and Bishops.
Many faces from the teaching-past and present at Newquay Tretherras School turned out at Newquay Sports and Community Centre on Friday evening (13 July) to bid farewell to head teacher Tony Jeavons who has been with the school since 1999 and two of his deputies, Andy Bales and Peter Bennett, both of whom have served since the early 1970s.
Celebrating 25 years of the Pamela Darlington school of dance at Newquay Tretherras School in July 2007.

Indian Queens Carnival was hit by massive downpours of rain but it didn't dampen the spirits of those taking part on Saturday 28 July 2007.

Rob Spowart hands over the chain of office to Alex Shapland as partner Linzee passes on the partners medallion to Jayne.This has been a very successful year for the Rotary Club of St. Columb.Commenting on his presidential year Rob Spowart said " I have thoroughlyenjoyed my year as President of the Rotary Club of St, Columb. We have hada successful year with over £4000 being raised from our numerous fundraising events. Some of these monies have already been earmarked fordistribution to local organisations including, St Columb Derby & JoanClub, St Wenn School, St.Columb Christmas Lights, Church Town project,Children's Hospice SW and the Cornish Cuddle Centre for Aids orphans inSouthern Africa. Club members have also supported a number of othercommunity activities and I would like to take this opportunity to thankthe club members and their families for their support and encouragementduring the year. I would also like to thank the local community for theircontinued support at our fund raising events."New President Alex Shapland stated " I am delighted to be the club'spresident for the forthcoming year and look forward to continuing thefellowship and community activities that the club is so well known for."
